William C. Fix, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Fix graduated from Brown University with BA degrees in economics and classics, where he also competed on the Division I men’s lacrosse team. He earned his MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the John R. Stanley Research Prize for Dermatology and the Alex’s Lemonade Stand David M. Cohn Scholar Award. During his time at Penn, he led a student-run medical clinic serving homeless and underserved populations in West Philadelphia and completed a Research Fellowship in Dermatology Oncology & Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Fix has conducted research at the National Institutes of Health, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and the University of Pennsylvania, with work published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery, Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, JAMA Network, and more.
He completed his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. His professional journey then took him to rural North Dakota, where he practiced dermatology and served as volunteer faculty at the UND School of Medicine, before settling in Boulder, Colorado. This experience across urban, rural, and suburban settings has enriched his approach to patient care.
Outside the office, Dr. Fix enjoys spending time outside with his wife, son and dog, and taking full advantage of Colorado’s landscape through skiing, golf, fly fishing and hiking.
